A fantastic evening’s worth of football at Bell Close and importantly another step along the way in this year’s re-build. First half was a very close affair with the most pleasing element of our performance was the big improvement on Saturday’s shape and the discipline the lads showed throughout the 45 mins, all of which we had talked about pre-match in the prep. Second half was more of the same with both teams having their fair share of possession and efforts, but after going behind a massive plus point and continuous theme from Saturday’s game was the attitude and collective spirit of the guys to maintain their discipline and continue to deliver against the game plan resulting in a fully deserved equaliser from Enz…….this was the trigger for pandemonium and the best goal celebration seen down at the club for years!!!The number of people after the game commenting on a great performance, superb game of football and the fact the lads look like they’d run through walls for each other was a big box ticked in getting us to where we need to be and 2 games in with no defeats gives us a great platform to build on. An attendance of 179 on a Tuesday evening was a superb effort by all and a massive incentive for us to keep pushing in the right direction collectively as a club both on and off the field.First class and hopefully more of the same in a busy upcoming Bank Holiday weekend…..see you Saturday for the home game against Hayes.Gaffer
