The Town travelled to North London once again on Saturday afternoon in fine October weather, as they faced a tough Hadley team.

Danny Nicholls made 2 changes to his team. Tom Wyant, who has left the club, was replaced by Charlie Jones and Jamie Nicholls came in for Brian Foulger, who was on the bench.
The first half was not eventful in the slightest. Both sides were very poor in possession and could hardly fashion a chance.
The only 2 chances of the half, fell Hadley’s way.
David Ward had an overhead kick saved well by Jones and Sam Lyon’s header was cleared off of the line by Matt Hall.
That was it for the first half, an extremely uneventful first period.
At Half-Time, Patrick Tshikala was replaced by Yemi Buraimoh Hadley as they looked to take the game by the scruff of the neck.
15 minutes into the second half, Charlie Jones made his 3rd great stop of proceedings, denying Jeff Idemudia.
Nicholls then made 2 changes. Kyle Faulkner and George Dentice were both replaced and Kelvin Osei-Addo and George Armstrong both came on.
David Ward was then taken off and replaced by Peter Rosemin for Hadley.
Kelvin Osei-Addo found himself in on goal after a smart pass from Aaron McKee, but he couldn’t fashion a shot and was shepherded away from goal by Paul Wright.
Leighton’s final change was Dom Marsala being replaced by Brian Foulger. That meant ‘Jammers’ would go up front with Kelvin, and George would operate at right midfield for the rest of the game.
Hadley had another big chance, after some quick thinking from a free kick. Yemi Buraimoh was in, but Jones kept him out and the score was still 0-0.
Time was running out for either side, however, there would be one final opportunity.
After Leighton tried to play it out from the back, they conceded a free kick just in front of the halfway line. The ball was floated into the box, when Kyle Davison-George handled the ball.
The referee had no option but to point to the spot and book Davison-George.
Hadley’s captain Paul Wright stepped up for the ‘Pressure Penalty’...
It was coolly slotted into the bottom right corner, sending Charlie Jones the wrong way, who played very well in his first game in a Town shirt.
That would be that in North London and Hadley would take all 3 points.
That defeat was Leighton’s first in 5 games, ending an unbeaten run. It also leaves The Town 13th, however, many teams have games in hand on them.

Leighton return to action as quickly as Tuesday evening, as they host Baldock at Bell Close in the Premier Division Cup.

Come down and support the lads, as always, your support is more than appreciated.
