The Town welcomed Cockfosters to Bedfordshire on Saturday Afternoon, with neither team in good form.

Cockfosters and Leighton had only won 2 games between them in the league all season, so a win for either side at Bell Close, would be vital.
Kelvin Osei-Addo and Kynan Issac were replaced up front and Kyle Faulkner and George Dentice came in. Matt Hall was also replaced, as he is serving his suspension from his dismissal last week.
The Town started the game with promise, looking to get at Cockfosters from the get go, playing positive passes and pushing Cockfosters further and further back into their own half.
With the game only 12 minutes old, the Town took the lead!
Fantastic work by Dom Marsala on the right flank gave him space to drive into. He then delivered a low cross into the path of Kyle Faulkner, who fired home from close range, to put the Town a goal to the good.
Shortly afterwards, Cockfosters were forced to make a change as their Number 9 was replaced by Toby Omotoshu.
George Dentice then went close for Leighton, however the goalkeeper was equal to his shot and palmed the ball away.
After only being on the pitch for a matter of minutes, Omotoshu pulled Cockfosters level. A defensive mix up meant the ball was not cleared properly, and Omotoshu struck home superbly, with a well timed volley. 1-1.
The Town would not lie down however and with plenty of time left to play, they went out in search of a 2nd, to put them back in front.
And they found that almost straight away!
A goal mouth scramble down at the Shed End, lead to 2 smart stops by the goalkeeper, before the ball broke for the excellent Lewis McBride, who tucked the ball around the goalkeeper at the near left post, putting the Town back in front!
With not long to go until Half-Time, Town looked set to go into the break with a deserved 2-1 lead.
However, Cockfosters managed to get themselves level again.
The substitute Omotoshu raced on to a through ball and chipped it over Tom Wyant he had come racing off of his goal line. Then all Omotoshu had to do was tap the ball into the empty net.
That meant that at Half Time, it was 2-2.
The Second Half is not one that will live forever in my memory however.
An early chance for George Dentice that was saved well by the goalkeeper was the only notable opportunity of the half.
George Armstrong and Kelvin Osei-Addo both came on for Town, replacing Marsala and Faulkner.
The scoreline stayed the same and Leighton and Cockfosters shared the spoils both taking a hard fought point.
That means that both teams stay on 1 win each so far in this campaign.
The Town are back in action as quickly as Tuesday Evening, as they travel to London Colney.

Thank you for your support once again and we hope to see you on Tuesday Night!
Up the Town!
