Leighton Town 0 Godalming Town 0

Both Managers were happy with the draw at Bell Close today .
Neither side deserved to win but both had chances to do so .

Godalming started the livelier of the sides but were not able to create any chances and it was returning favourite Ben Gallant who had Leighton's first opportunnity his curling effort went close.

Godalming's George Frith had a couple of chances the second of which was well saved by Aaron Bufton in the home goal .With defences on top neither side was able to dominate and Jordan Jenkins excelled for Leighton .

Home skipper Keiron Schmidt had a great run at the start of the second half but his shot went over the bar .

Godalming prompted by midfielder Steve Laidler had a good period of possession and George Frith should have done better for them but was denied again by Bufton .

The home side responded and a great run by Nathan Olukanmi almost produced a goal but he was denied by Ossai in the visitor's goal .Gallant again went close before Roberts and Rushie had half chances for Godalming .

Manager Mark Eaton was pleased with the performance from his young side . They worked very hard for each other and will improve as they gain confidence from doing well against an established and experienced side such as Godalming.

Eaton was missing a couple of his experienced Players for this match and when they are in, their knowledge of playing at this level will be of great help to the younger lads.
This Squad has the blend of youth and experience to make a great team and take the Club forward .

The crowd of 122 was very appreciative of the side and impressed with this performance .
