With the cup competitions coming thick and fast, Town were in Buildbase FA Vase action on Saturday, as they welcomed Bugbrooke St Michaels to Bell Close.

Town made some changes to the lineup, after last weeks 3-3 draw away at Thame, with the replay coming this Tuesday.
The lineup was as follows: Kirkwood, Osborne, Davison-Gordon, Murphy, Donkor, Foulger, Webb, Fredericks, McClelland, Towell, Campbell.
Brad Kirkwood came back into the side, as did Alfie Osborne, with Michael Donkor and Archie McClelland also starting.
Town immediately set out on the front foot, with Archie McClelland and Danny Webb putting the Bugbrooke back-line under pressure.
Michael Donkor set his sights on the target with a header after a good cross from Danny Webb, but it sailed over the crossbar.
Brian Foulger entered the referees pocket book after just 16 minutes, after a late tackle in the Town’s half.
Just a minute later and Town took the lead! A great ball down the throat of the Bugbrooke defence allowed Archie McClelland the chance to pounce and he lobbed the on-rushing keeper from around 25 yards out! A great finish and Town taking a deserved early lead.
5 minutes later and that lead was doubled!
A lovely passing move from the boys in Red and White, was finished off after a great one-two between Towell and Webb! Towell the man finishing it off, inside the area, curling it around the keeper at the near post! 2-0!
With Town in cruise control, they set about getting a third to see the game off.
Ashton Campbell went close twice in quick succession, but the goalkeeper denied him on both occasions.
James Towell then entered the book for a late tackle in the centre of the park.
Shortly after that, Town made it 3!
Archie McClelland got his second of the game (and the season), finishing smartly underneath the goalkeeper.
Brian Foulger was then replaced by Les Barker with 10 minutes to go before half-time.
Bugbrooke’s Number 8 also entered the referees pocket book, after a late challenge on Jordan Fredericks.
That saw Half-Time, with Town going in with a deserved 3-0 lead!
The first 20 minutes of the second half had very little to report on. Very scrappy in parts, with neither time grabbing a foothold on the game.
Alfie Osborne saw his name in the book on the 67th minute.
Town looked to freshen things up as Jordan Fredericks was replaced by Ross Adams.
Ashton Campbell then had 2 more chances, both efforts from inside the area, but neither testing the goalkeeper too much.
A final change for Town, saw Archie McClelland replaced by Kuda Butawo. McClelland grabbing 2 on his first start in a Town shirt!
With 10 to go, the game sparked itself back into life! James Towell was first to have a go, this time from range, but his curler clipped the roof of the net.
Bugbrooke had their first real opportunity of the game, as Town switched off at the back. Michael Donkor managed to get back and block a shot that looked destined for the bottom corner.
Ashton Campbell had his final chance of the encounter, but it was dragged wide of the post!
The final chance of the game came Town’s way, when Danny Webb stuck on his famous afterburners, leaving the defence in the dust, before having his shot smothered by the goalkeeper.
That was all of the action for one day and Town progress through to the Second Round Qualifying of the FA Vase.
Town will face either Long Crendon or Langley, with their tie taking place on Sunday. This will be away from home. Date to be arranged.
Another good performance from Town, with some very good football at times!
Attentions now turn towards Tuesday night, in what will be a massive game at Bell Close, as Town face Thame United in an FA Cup Replay.
A potential trip to Lowestoft Town on the cards for Saturday!
See you at Bell Close on Tuesday!

Up the Town!
