LEIGHTON TOWN 0 MARLOW 1.
A disappointing performance by the Town left them still struggling at the bottom end of the Table .
Marlow were by far the more positive side and could have won by more had they taken their chances .
Leighton 'keeper Oulah was by far the busier of the two on the night , with Marlow's Bennion rarely called upon
to keep his goal intact .
Danny Watson was disappointed not to at least hit the target when clean through , and Marlow's Lee Barney was
just as guilty at the other end .
Just after half-time a great turn and shot by Watson from the edge of the box saw his superb effort come back off
the cross-bar and be cleared . Almost immediately a great flowing move down Marlow's left , saw the ball crossed
into the box where the totally un-marked Barney struck the ball sweetly past Oulah , for what turned out to be
the winner .
Whittingham missed from close range for Marlow as they continued to put the home defence under pressure .
Bennion earned his keep with a great save from the industrious Watson as Town pressed for an equaliser .
Town were kept to long range efforts by a well organised Marlow defence but sub Ashley Farmer went close at
the death .
Town need to pick themselves up for the game at Bell Close against Rugby this coming Saturday as the quest
for points to keep them safe intenifies .
