With Aylesbury’s pitch not up to scratch after the effects of Storm Dennis, Town welcomes Baldock to Bell Close on Saturday, in another big league game.

The visitors came into the game with just 1 defeat in 10, but would go away with 2 in 11, as Town stretch their unbeaten league run to 15 games!
Town started really brightly and had plenty of options when going forward. Archie McClelland went close inside the opening 5 minutes.
Baldock creates their first real chance of the tie on 14 minutes, when Waters was beaten by a lob. But, Dave Murphy was there to save the day and clear away before the ball could cross the line.
George Waters made his league debut for the Town in between the posts yesterday, coming in at the final hour. The U18s captain impressed throughout.
Danny Webb and Archie McClelland combined well midway through the first period, but the latter’s strike flew wide of the post.
Just moments later however, the visitors took the lead. Against the run of play, Baldock’s 7 found some space on the right-hand-side and fired a vicious drive past Waters that clipped the near post and went in.
Despite conceding, that didn’t seem to phase Town, who have shown resilience throughout the last few months. James Towell had a go at goal after the restart.
Then, Town were awarded a penalty. Danny Webb was wiped out as he bared down on goal and the referee pointed to the spot, but didn’t show a card.
Webb himself stepped up and unfortunately saw his penalty saved by the goalkeeper.
With Town still trailing, they continued to work hard to get back on level terms.
They did just that 2 minutes later, when Webb delivered an inch-perfect ball to the head of Louie Collier, who netted his first goal for the club!
Straight from the kick off and another big talking point presented itself to the 194 string crowd of Bell Close. Collier won the ball immediately and played it to Webb, who broke clear and was taken clean out by the goalkeeper, outside of the area. A clear goal scoring opportunity, but only a yellow card for the Baldock keeper.
Fredericks and Bryant both delivered some good crosses towards the end of the half, however it was 1-1 at the interval.
Town came out in the second half ready for battle and got about their business straight away. Ashton Campbell had the ball in the net after good link up play with Webb, but he was called offside.
However, Town finally had the lead on 55 minutes!
Archie McClelland’s bursting run out wide saw Webb fouled in the area as he made a darting run in the box. Webb himself stepped up again, but saw his penalty saved for a second time! However, Ashton Campbell was on hand to tuck away the rebound! Town in front.
Town continued to dominate Baldock, who were limited to hardly any opportunities in Town’s box in the second half.
Town continued to push on and midway through the second period, it was 3-1! Louie Collier had his 2nd in Town colours, despite it taking a huge deflection on it’s way in!
Archie McClelland was replaced by Billy Baird as Town continued to play with real quality.
Tom Bryant found himself in the book on 71 minutes, despite no-one in Bell Close knowing why!
Louie Collier came off for Sonny Newbury-Barr on 78 minutes. Collier impressing with a brace.
Town created chances right up until the end. Campbell fizzed a ball across goal but Webb couldn’t get on the end of it.
Alfie Osborne, who battled brilliantly in the centre of the park, made way for Brian Foulger with 5 minutes left.
There was still time for a final Town goal though! Webb’s cut back was missed by Campbell and James Towell finished it off with class, into the bottom left. 4 assists for Webb!
Brian Foulger headed over in added-time, but it finished 4-1 to the Town!
Another brilliant 3 points for the Town, who cruised to victory despite some decisions going against them early on.
Great support again as always, with 194 enjoying a 5 goal thriller in Town’s favour! 4-1!
Next up, it’s a trip to Wembley... FC, in the league on Tuesday!
