Leighton Town 2 - Barton Rovers 2

The game was a 2-2 draw and was enjoyed by the large crowd.

Manager Burgess was very pleased with the all round performance of his squad which again included some excellent youngsters alongside some familiar faces.

It was very encouraging to see several local players back at the Club.

The goals were scored by Aaron McKee with a great free-kick from just outside the box and Lolu Onabolu who made a great run down the left before placing the ball into the far corner of the net.

This coming Tuesday - Town entertain Dunstable Town - 7.45 pm and on Saturday are again at Bell Close where they play Cogenhoe Utd - 3.00pm .

The season starts with an FA Cup Tie on Saturday 6th August at home against Northampton Silbey Rangers and kicks off at 3.00pm.
